While some of you are probably muttering "welcome to 6 months ago", I must admit I've only recently become aware of this feature.

I'm both intrigued and a bit... alarmed at this new concept.  I can't decide if it's a great or terrible idea.

I'll be honest and say my prints aren't selling very well.  I never expected to make a living at it, but I thought it would be nice if I could buy Playful a new outfit or two ... well, I guess I could buy her a pair of gloves  I think there are factors that have nothing to do with "prints" per say that are inhibiting sales.  One is that my art has appeals to a narrow segment of the population.  While *we* think latex is awesome, to the general population it's not that appealing.  Another is that I'm not that well known (so the amount of page views is modest) and that's in part because quite frankly, I'm "good, not great".  I'm tremendously grateful for all your kind words of support, but there are definitely better fetish photographers out there!

But there *are* factors that are unique to prints.  One is well, where do you put it!?  I have a number of fetish prints... and I can't display them.  There are kids and vanilla visitors in the house fairly regularly, I can't show this stuff.  I certainly can't show them at work.  I know some people do have the liberty of actually "using" prints, and that's awesome, but not everyone can.  Another factor is cost - not everyone can afford to buy prints and pay shipping.

Premium content - high resolution digital files - avoids these "print-specific" issues.  The display isn't an issue - if you are reading this, you are able to look at fetish material on your computer without getting in trouble (I hope).  Price also doesn't have to be an issue.  While I imagine I *could* sell files for ONE. MILLION. DOLLARS!!!!!! , in reality I really don't have to.  The default "cut" for a print from DA is 80% (so at that level, if I sold a print for 10$, I get 2$).  With premium content it's the reverse - DA only gets 20%.  This mean I could sell a file for a lot less *but* make more money per sale - you pay less, I get more money, we all win right?

But... and of course, there is a but... the high res image is *the* most valuable component.   It's the blueprint, the secret plans, the essence.  If I sell those away, the only thing protecting me from the buyer abusing his purchase (re-selling the files, uploading it online on tumblr or some torrent, selling prints of it etc etc) is the good will of said buyer.  And while you folks *rock*, we all know there are assholes out there.
